Made In America Festival
The Big Concept
Budweiser Made in America Festival, founded in 2012 by Jay-Z, is an annual music festival held simultaneously in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. The first year that the Made In America Festival was located in two cities simultaneously presented an interesting challenge. What is the best way to show two lineups when any one person will only be going to one of the concerts?
In order to keep on brand and play off of the festival naming and logo, we created a user experience organizational concept using a very well known symbol, the American flag. Los Angeles took on a white color and Philadelphia took on a red color. When the lineups were combined by clicking “all” the lineup would animate like a flag waving in the wind and reorganize into stripes of red and white.
