345 Fifth

Marketing & Visualizing Flagship Retail on 5th

We were tasked with the challenge of representing and visualizing a 22,000 square foot flagship retail space in the heart of 5th Avenue in New York City across from the Empire State Building for super superstar retail broker Faith Hope Consolo to use to lease the space. The real challenge was that the space didn't yet exist and a construction barrier wall covered the 60' wide facade.

THE Solution

The first issue to tackle was the representation of the space in person from street level as the barrier wall was an eye sore. We decided on creating a massive billboard and produced countless studies of design variations and visual concepts, finally settling on a perspective rendering of what a potential flagship store could look like through the glass facade from 5th Avenue. The final billboard rendering was produced in-house at high resolution for the large format printing on a 60' x 20' canvas. The rendering of the space doubled as print and digital marketing material for 345 5th.

A visual storyteller, Weston Baker Creative Group penned a branded identity that elevated our exclusive agency for a large property facing the Empire State Building that was coming to the market for the first time in decades. Their approach was to bring us concepts that all the stakeholders could review and we worked with them to create a new version that brought together the best ideas from their original sketches. WBCG delivered the work under a tight deadline and the response to this 60 foot sign on Fifth Avenue has been tremendous.

Additional Materials

We also produced a graphic map to show the prime retail location with respect to the 34th street corridor and emerging retail promenade of 5th Avenue, the most walked street in Manhattan. In addition to the billboard and map we created two interior renderings to show the massive scale of 345 as well as multiple elevation renderings that present the future flagship store at night and during the day, looking from the entrance to the Empire State Building.
