CREATING VALUE THROUGH DESIGN
AKI Development asked us to create a building design on a plot of land in Astoria that they could present to investors to get them excited and raise money. We created a design that references the history of the neighborhood. Inspired by the industrial past of the neighborhood, we designed the building to be clad in brick and feature large casement windows. We designed the brick facade to be somewhat custom in the way that the brick is laid, which makes interesting patterns and details across the face of the building. The penthouse terrace is viewed through the massive casement windows and boasts a fantastic view of Manhattan.
